In 1966 John Mayall and his band the Bluesbreakers released their debut studio album which became known as the Beano Album. The album pioneered a guitar dominated blues rock sound and helped launch the career of the legendary guitarist Eric Clapton. The John Mayall Project celebrates the 60th anniversary of this iconic album and is delighted to bring a fabulous collection of songs to audiences across Northern Ireland together with a selection of other great British blues & blues rock songs from many of the great guitarists who shared the stage with Mayall over the years.
Celebrating the pioneering artist known as the "Godfather of British Blues" the John Mayall Project plays the iconic Beano album in full. Our electrifying live show pays homage to the music that inspired generations of musicians and helped shape the sound of modern blues and rock. From timeless classics to fan favourites, from guitarists such as Peter Green, Eric Clapton, Buddy Whittington, to name a few, you can always expect an unforgettable evening of outstanding musicianship and authentic blues performed by some of Ireland's finest players.
