The Stonecold Hobo
Martin Cummins (AKA The Stonecold Hobo), is a singer/songwriter from Co. Louth, Ireland.
"A master of slide guitar", Martin's solo material reflects classic blues players such as Elmore James, Robert Johnson and 'Mississippi' Fred McDowell, with a nod to players like Rory Gallagher and Jimmy Page.
His live show is noted for its energy and spontaneity, and features a range of original material interspersed with re-imaginings of the great and classic blues songs of yore.
"From the Überblues themes of drink and bad women he wrested tales of both, enthralling us with his music and his hard won lyrical dexterity........Just one man, one cigar box guitar, and the blues."
