Patrick Jade Blues, Dublin

Patrick Jade is a Dublin-based solo artist and songwriter whose music draws on Blues, soul and raw, emotional storytelling. After spending more than two decades behind the drum kit, touring Ireland with cover bands, original acts and tribute shows, Patrick eventually stepped out from behind the drums to pursue a long-held ambition: writing, recording and performing his own music.

His solo journey began in January 2024 with the release of his debut single, What You'll Need from Me. He followed it with So Unkind, a heartfelt ballad featuring vocalist Kellie O'Reilly, before releasing This Empty Room in September 2024. A poignant reflection on loss and mental health, the song explores these themes through the perspective of a teenager.

In November 2024, Patrick released Life in the Shade, an upbeat Blues-influenced track exploring the tension between chasing your dreams and finding comfort in the familiar. His next release, Burden on Innocence, followed in May 2025 and features vocals from Pauline Maguire. The song explores the emotional weight of difficult choices and the instinct to survive when faced with circumstances beyond your control.

Drawing on his years as a drummer and his experience of Ireland's live music scene, Patrick brings a strong sense of rhythm and a genuine feel for performance to his songwriting. His music combines Blues influences with personal stories and emotional themes, reflecting both his musical background and his journey into life as a solo artist.

From spending more than twenty years behind the drum kit to finding his own voice as a songwriter, Patrick Jade's story is one of persistence, creativity and a lifelong love of music.
