Blues Odyssey + Steve Ray Ladson - Country Meets the Blues
Blues Odyssey and America's Got Talent finalist Steve Ray Ladson come together at The Grand Social, Dublin, for a special night where blues meets country, soul and roots music.
Dublin-based international blues collective Blues Odyssey brings its six-piece sound to the stage, rooted in Chicago and Texas blues with elements of soul and classic R&B. Expect expressive guitar, Hammond-style organ, harmonica, saxophone and a powerful rhythm section, alongside music associated with artists including Freddie King, Robert Johnson and Nina Simone.
Joining them is US artist Steve Ray Ladson, whose distinctive blend of country, blues and soul brought him to a major international audience through America's Got Talent. Ladson has also collaborated with Billy Ray Cyrus on the single "It's Alright."
Two distinctive musical worlds meet for one Dublin night - from deep blues and improvisation to contemporary American country and soul.
