The P45s cc Blues Rock, Cork

The P45s are a four-piece Blues Rock band from Cork City, formed in 2024 by four old friends with a shared love of Blues and Rock. Their sound draws on the classic Blues and Rock of the 1960s and 1970s, combining driving rhythms, gritty guitar and a strong live energy.

The band's influences range from the raw Blues and Rock of The Rolling Stones and ZZ Top to the distinctive sound of Irish rockers The Stunning, bringing together classic influences with their own take on the music they love. Their set is rooted in Blues Rock but has plenty of room for the swagger, groove and guitar-driven energy of classic Rock.

The P45s are Kelan Canniffe on harp and main vocals, Colm Joyce on bass and vocals, Pat Hickey on drums and vocals, and Richard Kehoe on guitar and vocals. The four-piece have also been developing their own material, releasing three original tracks across the major streaming platforms in 2025.

With a sound that looks back to the golden era of Blues Rock while keeping things firmly live and energetic, The P45s bring a gritty, vintage feel to the stage. Their music sits comfortably between Blues, Blues Rock and Classic Rock, making them a natural fit for live music venues, Blues nights and Rock festivals.
