Backbone
The Backbone. We’re a six-piece Irish roots and rhythm outfit delivering an eclectic, high-energy mix of blues, roots, rock and soul.
We’re firm festival favourites, having appeared at Howth Roots & Blues, Ballycastle Rock & Blues, Armagh Seven Hills, Blues on the Bay, Eats & Beats 2026 and Belfast Blues Festival, alongside regular performances at Belfast’s The American Bar, Deers Head and Chandler’s House.
With an eclectic setlist, big live sound and a reputation for getting audiences moving, we bring energy, musicianship and plenty of attitude to every show. As BBC Radio Ulster’s Ralph McLean put it: “Backbone are stalwarts of the blues.”
